Compulsive eaters - men and women - come in all shapes and sizes and lead all sorts of emotional lives. There is no one type of person that has an eating disorder. But they share one thing - an obsession with food and their weight. Are you worried that you might be a compulsive eater? Try the following questions.
- Do you feel obliged to eat all the food on your plate even when you feel uncomfortably full?
- Do you often eat even when you are not hungry?
- Do you feel self indulgent, greedy or out of control when you eat?
- Do you feel that eating is something that must be controlled?
- Do you feel comforted or calmed while you are eating or after you eat?
If you have answered yes to any of these questions, you could be suffering from an eating disorder.
