Start every day..
..with a large glass of hot water with the juice of one lemon. Combine this with some fruit. You may make the fruit into a smoothie drink with fruit juice, but do not add yoghurt or milk. Make sure that you drink at least 8 glasses of water throughout the day. No tea or coffee is allowed, but you may have herbal teas and unsweetened fruit juices.
Day 1 and Day 2
You may eat as much fruit as you wish throughout the day. There are no set meal times. Try to eat at least 3 of the listed fruits below, as these will help you get rid of any excess fluids in your body. Rest and relax each day in a warm bath with your favourite bath oil or bubble bath.

- Melon;
- Pears;
- Nectarines;
- Peaches;
- Pineapples;
- Plums;
- Raspberries;
- Strawberries.
Day 3 - 7
Lunch
A generous serving of salad, including at least five of the following raw vegetables. You can dress them with some olive oil and lemon juice. Try to vary your selection each day.
- Carrot;
- Beetroot;
- Celery;
- Radishes;
- Watercress;
- Tomatoes;
- Parsley;
- Cucumber;
- Cauliflower;
- Green Pepper;
- Mushrooms;
- Lettuce.
Day 3
Main Meal
6 oz (150gms) of potato, baked in its jacket; one fresh salmon fillet (or any other kind of fish including tinned tuna); 2 green vegetables, steamed. Choose from Brussels sprouts, leeks, cabbage, courgettes, and spinach.
Spa Treatment
Give yourself a scrub and moisturising treatment. Take a shower and rub your body with a scrub treatment. If you do not have a treatment at home, use coarse sea salt. Rinse thoroughly. When you get out of the shower, before you dry your body, rub in baby oil or body moisturiser.
Day 4
Main Meal
6 oz (150gms) of potato, baked in its jacket; 4 oz (100gms) of cottage cheese; 2 green vegetables, steamed from the list on Day 3.
Spa Treatment
Treat yourself to a home manicure. Remove any old nail varnish and trim nails with emery board. Put some hot water in a bowl with some fabric softener in it, and soak your fingers in it for 5 minutes. Dry your hands and gently push back your nail cuticles. Rub in some hand cream and leave for 1 hour, preferably with some warm cotton gloves on. After the hour, remove the gloves and wash in hands in water. You can now apply your favourite nail varnish.
Day 5
Main Meal
2 oz (50gms) brown rice, boiled; 4 oz (100gms) chicken or turkey breast, roasted and served without skin; I green vegetable, steamed from the list on Day 3; 6 oz (150gms) of raw tomato.
Spa Treatment
Treat your hair to some special treatment. Wash your hair in your usual shampoo and towel dry. Apply liberal amounts of hair conditioner, and wrap your hair in cling film/plastic food wrap. Wrap a warmed towel around your head, and leave for 30 minutes. After the 30 minutes, remove the film and towel and rinse thoroughly. Style in normal way.
Day 6
Main Meal
6 oz (150gms) potato, baked in its jacket; 4 oz (100gms) cottage cheese; 2 green vegetables, steamed from the list on Day 3.
Spa Treatment
Give yourself a pedicure. First, soften the skin on your feet by taking a warm bath. Whilst in the bath, remove any dead skin with a pumice stone. Come out of the bath and dry your feet carefully. Gently push back the nail cuticles on your toes. Cover your feet with foot moisturiser (the Body Shop do a good peppermint one), wrap your feet in cling film/plastic food wrap and then put on some old thick socks. Leave for 30 minutes and then remove the socks and film. Wash your feet, and then apply your favourite nail varnish.
Day 7
Main Meal
6 oz (150gms) of potato, baked in its jacket; one fresh salmon fillet (or any other kind of fish including tinned tuna); 2 green vegetables, steamed, chosen from the list on Day 3.
Spa Treatment
Nothing makes you look better than some fake tan. Follow the instructions on scrubbing your body on Day 3, but instead of putting moisturiser on your body, use your favourite fake tan. Follow the instructions on the bottle/tube and take care to spread it evenly and protect your carpet or flooring with an old towel.
Day 8
Congratulate yourself, you made it! Now start to introduce other foods, slowly. You may wish to stick to the fruit breakfast and salad lunch, as this will be healthy and low in fats and calories. Try to continue to stick to less than 1,500 calories a day, and the pounds you lost in the week should stay off. If you have a partner, make this is the day he/she gives you a full body massage for the full Spa feeling!
